You do not need another productivity hack.
You need this: Permission to do less.
I know less doesn’t sound like it would equal productivity. But doing “less” is a key benefit to your ability to be more productive.
In fact, it boosts your ability to control your destiny.
When you do less, you create space to breathe, contemplate, decide, and take your next best step with confidence, and importantly, with control.
You don’t need another productivity hack.
Life isn’t about getting more done. It is about getting enough done with less stress and more clarity.
You might think “more” equals more. And a productivity hack offers the promise of more. But often, with more comes more pressure, more time and energy spent, more to manage and move around, and more chasing an ideal of success and completion.
The reality?
You don’t want to do more.
And I don’t think you really want to learn how to do more.
You want to learn how to get things done without overwhelm. You want to get enough done and be present while doing it. And to feel a sense of accomplishment with the progress you are making.
Productivity hacks are everywhere, and they start to feel like subconscious reminders that you are lacking in some way or missing out on a “better way” to live.
You aren’t.
You are more effective and productive when you have mental and physical energy.
Less allows for that.
More blocks the path.

Simplifying how you do things leaves you room to create and complete. And importantly, put your finger on the pulse of what you need to create and complete.
Sometimes we do things because we should or because we read somewhere we need to.
Who knows what you need more than you? No one.
You are your life architect. And you have the answers.
You have permission to do less.
You have permission to resist the seduction that getting more done means you are enough or that you are a success.
Doing more doesn’t equal success or worth. And being worn out, burnt out, or wiped out will lead you away from the fulfilling path you seek.
Tips are good.
Advice is good.
They serve a purpose. They can help you.
When combined with doing less, you might find you are your own best hack. And that it is the ultimate way to create a meaningful life you love.
