Growing up, I don’t remember much talk about being green or “saving the environment”. Maybe there was but I don’t think we had as many forces working against the environment like we do today.
I love being green – feeling like I’m doing my part. And I know there is so much more I can do other than recycling, or using energy-saving light bulbs, or drying my clothes on a line. {Hey, they’re a start}. My friend Lori over at Groovy Green Living is always teaching about and passing along ways we can be greener.
And there really are a plethora of ways to be green.
I won’t get into all of them – just one: getting rid of junk mail. I know it doesn’t seem as though it’d be a huge detriment to the environment, but junk mail is. And stopping it’s production is but one way we can continue to save our environment.
Much of what we receive in the mail, unfortunately, is junk mail – that unwanted, unneeded environmental foe that clutters our mailbox. It’s time we did something about it.
Check out this video for some great tips on how you can say goodbye to junk mail — for good!
In what ways are you doing your part to help the environment? Tell me in the comments!
